for a retrospective for the artist/architect Allan Wexler, 1999.
Grouped according to differing categories, every work in the exhibition
is depicted with small black and white photographs, or by a blank
space, which acts as a kind of placeholder. What is left out
or not pictured is just as important as what is depicted, because
the overall structuremuch like the periodic table of the elementsindicates
a specific set of relationships. In this project, the marginalia
of the exhibition checklist is displaced to a more central role
as it summarises the event.
