Hidden Art Stand D80 / 100% Design / 27–30 September 2001

Eleven / Forty Three / One

The stand was constructed from eleven sheets of four by eight plywood, employing a recursive process that utilised all the material except saw dust generated in the cutting of each component.

Each sheet had a specific cutting pattern derived from this recursive system. These cutting patterns are combined and overlaid to make one composite diagram that is inscribed on the surface of all eleven sheets before cutting. The eleven plywood sheets were then cut into forty three pieces and assembled to form one homogeneous architectural unit.

The piece displays and supports the information that Hidden Art organisation disseminates at this event.
